Pilates classes are for those who wish to partake in the Pilates method of exercise. These classes are not just for our clientele but open to the general public for both men and women alike. It can be performed at any age and each class has a different focus.
All classes are designed with the needs of our clients in mind. You will be taught how to engage your core properly , increase strength, and gain more flexibility. Each class will help you to release tight muscles and joints, creating more mobility throughout the entire body. Pilates is known to work the abdominals in a gentle manner and create long lean muscle. You will be taught proper Pilates breathing in order to release the diaphragm, ‘fire up’ your inner core muscles while moving and learn to realign your body which will correct posture. Pilates also works the feet because they are the foundation of the body. If our feet work properly we can have increased balance and less pain globally. Pilates footwork also helps to eliminate plantar fasciitis, bunions, hammertoes and heel pain etc.
Our daytime classes encompass various groups from Basic Foundations and Movement, Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced. Each week the class changes and we use Pilates props to create resistance and interest such as the Theraband, Wobble Cushion, Magic Circle, Foam Roller etc.
